The rasper is a key component in the cassava and potato starch process. It grinds roots and tubers into pulp, opening the material structure so starch can be released for further extraction.
Stamex developed the All New Rasper for high rasping efficiency over long production periods, with a robust rotor design, direct drive configuration, and heavy-duty stainless steel construction for demanding industrial operation.
What the rasper does
The rasper grinds cassava roots, potatoes, and other tubers into pulp for starch extraction. This step helps release starch from the raw material before the slurry continues to separation, washing, and refining.

Adjustable components for precise output
These machine details show the adjustment points that control the rasping action. The cutter block can be set closer to or further from the rotor block, while the sieve plate height can also be adjusted. Together, these settings help tune the machine for the required output.
